Pavlos Satoglou was born in Athens, Greece, in 1972. He holds a BA degree in Photography (TEI, 1996), a MA in Graphic Arts - Multimedia (Hellenic Open University, 2010) and a MFA in Video, Audiovisual Media and Motion Graphics Production (TEI of Athens, 2017 expected). He also studied Pedagogy and education (ASPETE) in 2013. He works as a photographer and as an instructor on photography, currently at both the Public Institutes for Vocational Training and the AKTO Training Center, Athens, Greece.
He wrote a book on slideshows (2004) and his papers in photography were published in peer-reviewed academic conferences. His fine art photography has been presented in many solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad and received awards in Pan-Hellenic contests and festivals. These photographic works range from landscapes, seascapes, politically engaged imagery, to fashion and contemporary social interaction. He has curated photo exhibitions, audiovisual screenings, online exhibitions, and publications. He was the co-founder and co-publisher of ANTILIPSEIS (a quarterly magazine on photography), www.antilipseis.gr, which was in print and online from October 27, 2008, through July 9, 2014.
