This photograph was taken in Chester County, PA using a vintage Widelux camera and film.
I came across a bank opening in a crowded parking lot one cloudy day in 2004. The lot radiated summer heat at cement-pitched tents with balloons and sodas. A money pit blew bills in a box that people could catch. The public dodged impatient drivers jamming the lot as I took this picture. Uncle Sam on stilts loomed large in stripped pants waving, the flag. His face went dark as a drizzle began to fall. |
