Karen Jordan
Golden Transverse
Chromogenic print
Edition of 10
30 x 20 inches

Harrison Gallery

Over the last decade-and-a-half, KAREN JORDAN has developed an original approach to the photographic medium as an art form.

The large-scale, elegant, dramatic landscapes/seascapes sometime appear to have been painted, rather than photographed.

Unmanipulated and uncropped, the images are exactly as they appeared in the environment. In  "Golden Transverse" roiling water (left) is reflected on the hull of a boat (right) in Norfolk Harbor, VA, at dawn.
