The painting is of real men, in a real world, that became artificial; they are with the three needful worlds. They became perceptive, social, and colonized.  They are sitting on a spot they know nothing about; perhaps it was once a grass savanna, man created the reservoir to save himself and create a recreational place where man could share peace and joy.
