A Benefit for Blue Mountain Gallery
July 29 - August 15, 2003

ARTISTS' RECEPTION: Thursday, July 31st 5-8PM

The annual show of the artists of the Blue Mountain Gallery, July 29 to August 15, 2003, will be a benefit for the not-for-profit gallery. On exhibition will be recent works on paper along with a selection of unframed works from each artist for $100.  Purchases of the smaller works will be a tax-deductible donation and a percentage of the purchase price of the larger works will also be deductible.

The show includes an exciting variety of styles, content and media.  Works on paper can reveal the freshness of the artistic process, from quick studies to more detailed  meditations on light and abstracted forms.  These works selected for the benefit exhibition include a range of prints, collages, watercolors, drawings and experimental media. The new artists included in the show are Constance Gruen, Marilyn Honigman and Jennifer Toth.  Pieces by John Wallace, Margaret Grimes, Linda Smith and Donna Marie de Creeft will introduce the upcoming fall 2003 exhibition schedule.

Blue Mountain Gallery is located in Chelsea at 530 West 25th Street, on the fourth floor.  The gallery is artist run with a membership of thirty.  When founded it was considered a stronghold of representational painting and sculpture.  With an emphasis on the artists' freedom to evolve, the gallery now shows a wide range of work.  The sales from the exhibition will help support the not-for-profit institution.
