Excerpt from New York Hall of Science:

Suzanne Anker: Vanitas (in a Petri Dish)
September 17, 2016 - April 30, 2017

View a series of digital prints by contemporary bio-artist Suzanne Anker, who uses some of the tools, materials and methodologies of biotech researchers, along with the artistic tools of photography, symbolism and metaphor. With her choice of title, Vanitas (a 17th century Dutch style of still-life painting that always included dead or decaying objects to remind viewers of their own mortality), the artist adeptly reveals the intent of these artworks.

This exhibition is presented by Art & Science Collaborations, Inc. (ASCI). Free with NYSCI admission.
