The Fischbach Gallery is pleased to present a selection of recent paintings by gallery artists in our annual showcase exhibition.
Escape Artists will treat viewers to the pleasures of summer, from urban rooftops to backyard swimming pools, lush woody landscapes, and of course, the seashore in a variety of current figurative painting styles.
The exhibition will feature climatic Hamptons seascapes by Jane Wilson, New England landscapes by Lois Dodd, and sun drenched architectural portraits by Alice Dalton Brown. Leigh Behnke’s precisionist paintings juxtaposing interiors and gardens, Hampton’s lifestyles by Billy Sullivan, and dramatic Fire Island harbors by John Laub are among other highlights by East Coast artists, while the Northern California coastline is explored by Peter Loftus and Willard Dixon. Among other artists long affiliated with the gallery, Warren Brandt, Nancy Hagin, Glen Holland, Polly Kraft and Susan Walp present their still life paintings dazzling with Summer images. Plein-aire painters landscape painters George Nick, and George Wexler will also be represented, along with younger painters Thomas Cordell, Glen Hansen, Thomas Paquette, Mark Workman and Alexandra Tyng.
