The first museum presentation of Bruce Davidson's project documenting "The Jokers," a gang of Brooklyn teenagers. This provactive portrait of restlessness and alienation providea a glimpse into the youth culture of 1950's America, seen through the eyes of one of America's most respected photographers.
The exhibition is accompanied by a fully-illustrated 100-page book titled Bruce Davidson: The Brooklyn Gang, 1959 (Twin Palm Publishers, 1998).
