A Fishing Trip:
- Additional Information -

"Making art has never been the reason for this trip, but rather friendship and getting away.  When we decided to do this show it was as a way of recognizing the way in which the place and the people had grown within us." (A.B.)

For the past fifteen years, 6 men have gone on an annual fishing trip to Spencer Pond in Maine. Over the years, the event has grown into a ritual more about friendship than fishing.  Although not all the men are artists, each has found art to be the best diary.

While the striking topography of Little Spencer Mountain and the raw might of northern Maine resonate throughout, this show is not about a place. Rather, it is a reflection of the human constructs and emotional perspectives that 6 men bear on the landscape.
