- Additional Information -

Opening Reception Friday, February 9, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Jack Rutberg Fine Arts Gallery in Los Angeles will present Evidence of Love, Romance, Desire & Fantasy; an exhibition opening on February 9, which explores artistic demonstrations of love and passion through images of romance, desire, and fantasy. Evidence of Love reflects the emotional response of artists to their subject and the exploration of their own feelings through art: from maternal love and romance love to lurid obsession and erotica. This captivating exhibition includes more than 60 paintings, drawings, prints, and sculpture by both modern and contemporary masters. While not intended to be encyclopedic, Evidence of Love presents the opportunity to view fascinating works from the late 19th century to the present day.
Included in the exhibition are works by Pierre Auguste Renoir, Paul Cezanne, Henri Fantin-Latour, Felicien Rops, Louis Legrand, Max Klinger, Kathe Kollwitz, George Grosz, Henri Matisse, Georges Rouault, Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Max Weber, Oskar Fischinger, Arshile Gorky, Gaston Lachaise, Elie Nadelman, Chaim Gross, Milton Avery, Reuben Nakian, Yves Klein, Corneille, Pierre Alechinsky, Marino Marini, Hans Bellmer, Andre Masson, Willem de Kooning, Hans Burkhardt, Roberto Matta, Rufino Tamayo, Jean Charlot, Francisco Zuniga, George Tooker, Odd Nerdrum, Tom Wesselman, Jim Dine, Andy Warhol, Jerome Witkin, Ruth Weisberg, Patrick Graham, Ed Kienholz, David Hockney, Robert Indiana, Alexis Smith, Ed Ruscha, & others.
